Higgins Partnerships has been cleared to move ahead with the stalled final phase of the Green Man Lane estate regeneration in West London.

Ealing Council’s cabinet has approved changes to the next stage of the long-running programme, paving the way for around 400 more homes at the West Ealing site.

Work on the final phase was paused in 2023 when contractor REAL entered administration.

Higgins Partnerships will now take responsibility for the remaining development work through a new arrangement with the council and A2Dominion, which has partnered with the council on the project.

The approval means work can now restart this year, subject to design approvals.

Green Man Lane is a short walk from West Ealing Elizabeth line station and has already undergone major redevelopment.

Most of the original estate buildings have been demolished and replaced with more than 500 mixed-tenure homes, alongside a community centre, café and a new building for St John’s Primary School.

The latest deal reunites Higgins and A2Dominion following their partnership at Hanwell Square in West London, where they delivered 360 mixed-tenure homes.

Declan Higgins, chief executive officer at Higgins Group, said: “Green Man Lane is a major opportunity to complete a long-running regeneration and deliver much-needed new homes in West London.

“Our successful partnership with A2Dominion at Hanwell Square gives us a strong foundation for this final phase, and we look forward to working closely with Ealing Council, A2Dominion and the local community to build on what has already been achieved.”
